第一次三振、首敗, 有些分數可以不必丟, 例如三局時王建民接到Crawford的滾地球, 遲疑一下, 喪失雙殺機會, 結果多丟一分, 王建民和內野手的默契需要加強, 尤其王建民是「滾地球投手」. 四局, 王建民擋住打者來球, 雖然沒有影響接下來的投球, 還投出生涯第一次三振, 不過還是希望沒有受傷.
這場球賽王建民都讓對方第一棒Sanchez上壘, 進而導致後面的失分, 台北時間五月十一日清晨07:05面對Seattle Mariners經驗更豐的日本打者鈴木一郎更是不能大意.
